Highlights from Addiction Leadership Day, 27 July 2022

At the second Addiction Leadership of 2022, an activity (World Cafe exercise) was facilitated to explore key workforce issues relevant to the addiction sector.

Approximately 80 people participated in this activity, including managers, team leaders, practitioners, addiction nurses, clinical leaders, NGO leaders and consumer, peer support and lived experience (CPSLE) leaders.

The activity focused on ‘recruiting and retaining a competent and healthy workforce’ and topics included recruitment, retention, wellbeing, cross-sector relationships, growing a diverse workforce, developing the workforce, and supporting the specialist workforce.
